SUPER-UTILITY DRONOTYPES
Manifold Structure

Status: Concept
In a potential future, small unmanned aerial systems are ubiquitous and the airspace below 400' is dynamically regulated with newly formed protocols. The project aims to develop manifold typologies within this airspace that will serve as maintenance, parking, and charging stations. Further, the individual structures are developed into a mega-structure, a new airport typology that would accommodate VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) aircraft. Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as one of the busiest airports in the world, was selected as a site. The proposed structure consists of stepped landing and take-off platforms directly connected to terminals. The use of VTOL aircraft will eliminate the need for runways, and reduce land use.
